International Day!

What a great celebration!  The children enjoyed creating their star flags in the week.  Today the assembly and parade were wonderful.  The children's costumes were superb!  I always love all the different countries we have in our school.

 

Islam and the mosque visit

We are enjoying learning more about Islam.  Aidan's father, Haider came in and the class asked many questions about the Islamic celebrations, prayers, fasting and mosques.  Later we visited the mosque and listened to the Imam share more information.  We also sat quietly at the back of the prayer hall watching the men pray.  At school we sketched and painted the mosque.
