Choice time

We have been enjoying choice time every day.  This is a great time for the children to help the children learn to play together.  We are learning the classroom expectations.  I am also enjoying getting to know all the children.  So helping and observing them play is wonderful.  We have many creative children who enjoy turning our craft materials into elaborate designs.  We have children who love building and creating with blocks and lego.  We have children who are enjoying imaginative play being families, cats and dogs!  Sometimes I take photos of their creations especially if they are proud of them.  Below we can see some finished puzzles and wooden creations.  Also in morning meeting we enjoy different activities.  They especially enjoyed making the sticky spiders web.  This entailed each child lying down on the floor and then attaching themselves to another child.  We have a huge amount of giggles achieving our class web.  Next we changed in sticky slugs and had to stick together and make our bodies small.  Goodness - teaching first grade is never boring!
